|

Teachers are those exceptional individuals who shape our minds, mould our character and prepare us to face the future. They train us to think, to challenge accepted notions and to become better human beings. They handle innocent young minds with great care and mould them into persons that the nation is proud of.
All of us owe our success to the extraordinary contribution that teachers make. Yet teaching is a profession that is grossly undervalued and seldom gets the recognition it deserves.
Do you think teachers in India get adequate salaries or benefits? What do you think should be done to remedy the woes that teachers in India face?
Discuss what you think! |

| apart from salaries, they should be respected for their position. a few bad teachers ruin the reputation for everone through activities like bribes, unfair marking etc. we can never move forward until we learn to respect others. |

That goes for almost every profession in India, not just teachers. As far as respect for teachers goes, that's how the indian mentality is and its going to be hard to change that. |
