Well we certainly had some unexpected results here. Germany - Argentina - this match wasnt as good as i had expected. Argentina played very well, I dont know what was wrong with germany during this match. Arg had around 70% ball posession. But as I was expecting, germany won this one.
The England-Portugal match looked more like a world cup quarterfinal, with both teams trying hard. But beckham had to go out in 52' due to an injury and then ten minutes later another favourite, Rooney was given a red card for a foul play. There was a good attempt by portugal in the second half where the ball ended up in the net, but it was offside. Finally in the penalty kicks Portugal's goalie gave an amazing performance.
C. Ronaldo was really impressive.
Too bad for Brazil, once again their dream was ended short by France (just like 1998). Zidane gave an excellent effort. He helped Thierry score and then Brazil couldnt get an equalizer. |
