I seriously hope brazil doesnt win. nothing against the team, but then if they keep winning, it will take the fun out of the game - its going to be like a monopoly. (ala michael shumacher and the F1)

yea im with you there man, Brazils won like six world cups already(or was it five). But you gotta hand it to them, they're real good. I tihnk this year Spain and Germany have got a big chance, other than Brazil that is.

you're forgetting Argentina - pretty underrated and undoubtedly one of the best. With the goal of the tournament already under their belt, and a strong team with young players, they have a chance to make it big.

oh and btw, Saudi's out. Razz

Argentina, not really sure, they did beat Serbia and Montengro pretty bad, but they couldn't even beat Holland. its not that Holland is such a bad team or anything, its just that world cup winners don't usually draw with teams like "Holland", and besides its been pretty long since they last won. When was that.......oh yea 1986, like 20 years ago.

OMG did you guys see the match between Portugal and Holland. 17 yellow cards and 4 Reds... its like they wanted to kick their opponents more than they wanted to kick the ball. Portugal may have to face a tough time in the quarter finals, seeing how some of their best players like C.Ronaldo and Figo might not be playing... Sad

... hope they win though...theyre a pretty good team.

Well how bad could the Asutralians' luck get... Could anyone have guessed that the Italians would score in the "95th" minute? i mean I seriously thought that the Italians were gonna lose to the Australians. They were like totally dominating the match, 60% possesion is no small deal. The poor dude who fouled the Italian in the last minute, I would seriously not be surprised if he killed himself rite now.

Tough luck for the aussies. I saw that Netherlands - Portugal match, it was just nonstop action. The referee was handing out cards like there's no tomorrow.

Did anyone see the Swiss play ukraine? It was the most un-inspired match ever, they werent putting anything into the game, and the results are clear, even after an extra half hour of playtime.

I'm just waiting for Argentina vs Germany - its gonna be the best game in the whole tournament, (unless one of them get to the finals).

According to one of famous prophecies of Nostrodaumas, on the 6th year and 6th month the spainish king will and his spanish army will win the war of the world, happening in middle of europe. 6th year and 6th month is June 2006. Spanish king and his army is the coach and his team. Middle of europe is exactly Germany, and FIFA wold cup is like the way of the world.

lol..dude nice one. too bad we can't really believe Nostradmus' predictions anymore, cuz from what I hear he evn predicted that the world would end on 6/6/06. Hmm..didn't really feel the apocalypse. But theres this other thing too dude, the final match is actually in july, so that kinda screws up the whole thing... Confused

....oh well why are we bothering with all these crappy superstitions...

First of all how the hell did France get into the Second round anyways, they were playing like ****, and the next moment they're playing Spain in the Knock-out round, AND THEY WIN!! I was like totally what?how?huh? Confused

after Zidane had scored TWICE. I was pretty sure Spain was gonna win but I guess thats the fun of the World cup. Too bad they can't stay for any longer though, they play Brazil next Razz

I was surprised too when France scored the second and third goals...I remembered France 98 when they played against Brazil and they won the world cup. Their next match is going to be interesting. Another match I am looking frwd to is Friday's match- Germany and Argentina!!!!! Smile
